Creation of Bhavsar Samaj of North America

The Bhavsar Samaj of North America began as a small group of Bhavsars who met from different walks of life. Through various connections, such as mutual friends, work, and others, a few select Bhavsar families came together in America. BSNA was then officially formed by the Late Dineshbhai Bhavsar and Harish Bhavsar in 1982. The first BSNA summer picnic was held in Van Sun Park in Oradell, New Jersey. This was later followed by the first annual Diwali Party held in December. BSNA began with 8 families that year; those of Dineshbhai Bhavsar, Manharbhai Bhavsar, Kapil Bhavsar, Shrikant Mistry, Vinay Vakani, Nanubhai Kapadia, Hasmukh Modi, and Harish Bhavsar, and has now grown to hundreds of members.
